1.Qutub Minar


The Qutub Minar is a towering 73 meter high tower built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1193.A must visit place on the tourist map of New Delhi. It was built by Qutubuddin Aibak who used to be the ruler of Delhi at that time. It is a very tall monument which has been standing tall through ages. I visited the place with one of my colleague when we took half day from work and as we were coming back from Gurgaon we ended up spending a quality time over there. It is a must visit place. Also, there is Jamali Kamali nearby which can be visited by one to enjoy serene environment.

2.India Gate


 India Gate is one of the most popular monuments in the city.  India Gate was dedicated to all the Indian soldiers of the British Army who died in World War I.India gate is very Famous place in Delhi. I visit 1 month ago.You can go with your family and friend both.India gate is on of the famous place in world.if you visit at night the you feel very awesome.You can enjoy with your family.


3.Red Fort

Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for nearly 200 years, until 1856.It is also a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. It was build by fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, when he decided to shift his capital there from Agra in 1638. The fort's turbulent history includes being captured by the Sikhs and the British.


4.Swaminarayan Akshardham

It's dedicated to showcasing Indian culture.This is a must-see site and should be high on your priority list. Akshardham attracts 70% of all tourists who visit Delhi.Amazing place. The level of detail and amount of stone carving especially inside is breathtaking. Well worth a few hours and taxi ride

5.Rashtrapati Bhavan

Built by British for Viceroy of India, this place was suppose cd to be symbol of Might of British Empire . Now this is residence of President of India.This decision to build a residence in New Delhi for the British Viceroy was taken after it was decided during the Delhi Durbar in December 1911.

6.Lodhi Garden


 Lodhi Garden is spread over an area of about 90 acres, it has 5 beautiful architectural works of 15th century- Mohammed Shah’s Tomb, Sikander Lodi’s Tomb, Sheesh Gumbad and Bara Gumbad.
Lodhi Garden is located close to Khan Market and has ample parking space.
No entry fee is levied and the place is full of lush green trees, birds n crumbling monuments.
Lotus pond with fishes and a waterfall add to the beauty of the place.

7.Purana Qila

When you visit Purana Qila, don’t forget to walk upto the National Zoological Park or Delhi Zoo. The present citadel at Purana Qila was believed to have been built under Humayun and Afghan Sher Shah Suri.Purana qila is in heart of Delhi. A very important monument in Delhi but the facts about it are mostly distorted. It is connected with Pandavs but hardly people are told about it. Excavation done recently confirms it's connection with Hindus but excavation stopped.

8.Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple, located in DelhiIndia, is a Bahá'í House of Worship.The temple is built of Greek white marble in the shape of Lotus flower. Lotus was chosen as the symbol as it was common to religions like Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam.Before visiting Lotus Temple, keep in mind that it is a very serene place and you will be required to follow several rules once you are inside this temple. 

9.Rajghat

This mausoleum is one without a tomb. It is the site of burial of our Father of the Nation. Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in DelhiIndia.This is a memorial made where Great Mahatma Gandhi was cremated . Any head of state from any country definitely pays his homage to this Great Mahatma by visiting here 


10.Humayun’s Tomb

It’s a beautiful building and a fitting tribute to Humayun. We find these old buildings fascinating and enjoy walking around at our leisure. There is soon good interpretive signage here and we enjoyed looking around without a guide. We did a day of exploring historic sites around Delhi and this was one of our favourites.
